2017 wedding trend deadline

It’s Time To Start Writing Your 2017 Wedding Content

Today I’m going to reveal some of the most interesting seasonal search phrases where there is a lot of wedding traffic to be found. These are keyword searches which currently have a relatively low level of competition which allows you the opportunity to create content and compete, fast.

In other words, you probably won’t have to wait months (or even weeks, in many cases) to see some obvious results.

2017 wedding search trends

For years, the savviest of wedding marketers have known about (and taken advantage of) the repeatable cycle of searches that newly engaged brides type in Google after each holiday season.

With December being the most popular month for engagements, it totally makes sense.

These newly engaged brides want to know the newest wedding fashions, designs and trends when planning their big day, so year after year, they tend to search for the same set of keywords, but with a twist.

To ensure they are requesting the freshest wedding information, they tend to add the current year to their Google searches.

Some examples would be:

  • 2017 Wedding Attire
  • 2017 Wedding Bridesmaid Gifts

Makes sense right? Brides don’t search for outdated bridal trends; they search for emerging/current trends.

These are just a small sample of the popular topics that receive heavy interest (and traffic) right after the New Year. I’m sure you can come up with a few more on your own.

Many of the websites ranking well for these specific search phrases in January are going to enjoy steady traffic throughout 2017.

And many of these keyword phrases are not very competitive!

The key is to have your blog content ranking on page 1 for these keyword phrases BEFORE the expected seasonal traffic begins.

That is why you should start creating that content NOW.

Doing so allows you a few months to strengthen the SEO for that content by earning back links, adding social signals and getting some blog comments and conversation going.

The wedding websites that take the initiative to follow through on this, will reap rewards for months on end throughout 2017, just because they are early to the party.

The early bird gets the worm.

Or…

The early content gets the bride.

Here’s to a great 2017!
